EUCOMM Training Event - Genetic Manipulation of ES Cells
26 October – 8 November 2009
This course provided a comprehensive overview and practical laboratory experience of the genetic manipulation of ES cells for a broad range of applications. Attendees were in the main postdoctoral scientists and senior P hD students actively engaged in research. The course covered a range of topics including recent advances in genome informatics, BAC recombineering, transposon technology and conditional gene targeting. Practical elements included:
- recombineering of conditional gene targeting vectors
- ES cell culture
- gene trap mutagenesis
- conditional gene targeting
- informatics
